Another successful sale of TB restricted store cattle at Holsworthy market saw an overall top price of the day at £908 for some strong steers, with others from the same farm at £830. Not too far behind steers from another farm made £815, £740 and £708.

A good entry of 'finished cattle' saw the top price at 138p/kg and £922 for medium weight steers, with other steers from the same farm at £919 and £882.

Speaking after the sale auctioneer David Kivell said, 'The more forward steers saw a proper trade which was no different to our normal prices seen at non-TB sales.' He added 'This really is the way forward in selling TB Restricted cattle. If you have any to sell please do register them with us early, so we can adhere to the DEFRA regulations.'
